About this Event

Amara is excited to celebrate our LGBTQIA+ family by marching in this year&#;s Seattle Pride Celebration and we invite you to join us in support of our amazing queer staff and community. The parade starts at 4th & Pike and ends at 2nd Ave & Denny Way.

All parade contingent members are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID (as defined by CDC guidelines), or to contain a negative PCR test taken within 48 hours. 

  • Proof of vaccination or negative PCR test must be present with each participant; this can be in the form of a picture of verification, vaccine card, phone app., etc. 
  • Parade participants under the age of five (5) years aged are required to have a negative PCR test within 48 hours. 

IMPORTANT NOTE: It is required that your proof of vaccination or negative PCR COVID quiz be kept on your person.

Seattle’s 50th annual Pride Month celebration will close out with the annual Seattle Pride Procession on Sunday, June 30 in Westlake Park along 4th Avenue. Come spot Washington's largest procession and celebrate the + local and national community groups, nonprofits, and companies.

Seattle is ringing in its year anniversary of Pride this month. This year's festivities include a parade downtown on Sunday, June 30 and PrideFest Street festival in Capitol Hill on Saturday June, 29, among other events.

Fifty years ago, more than LGBTQIA+ community members gathered publicly in Seattle as an act of resistance, wrote Seattle Pride. Their purpose in gathering as a collective was to "expel shame and to stand in defiance of those who wished to keep us hidden and disempowered," the organization said.

This year's pride theme is a reflection of the "unwavering resilience" of the LGBTQ+ community and "an embodiment of our 's community echoing cry: NOW!" according to Seattle Pride.

When is the Seattle Event Parade?

A preshow at Westlake Park kicks off at 10 a.m. and the official Seattle Pride Celebration begins at 11 a.m. and goes until p.m.
