OCD, as we comprehend, is largely about experiencing severe and unrelenting doubt. It can cause you to doubt even the most basic things about yourself – even your sexual orientation. Believe it or not, it’s a hopeful sign that your teen son has brought up the subject of queer attraction and homosexuality. Nothing is more important than open communication between parent and child — especially when it comes to sexuality and gender identity.
So you might want to try drawing your son out. You could seek, “What made you curious about this?”

They may not see any of this as sexual, but they are beginning to experience strong feelings.”
